These examples have been developed to show different types of planning teachers could design as part of their mathematics and statistics programmes.
The weekly plan draws from the unit plan, which was developed from the long-term plan.
These examples highlight:
- the components of a comprehensive teaching and learning programme
- making connections across strand and revisiting concepts across the year
- flexible grouping
- planning for multi-level classes.
Teachers can use these plans as examples of an approach they may take, and can also adapt these plans for use within their own classes.
