Health and PE Learning Kit

The "Materials that come with this resource" section above and  the "File Downloads" section below provide examples of Year 9 HPE annual, unit and lesson plans based on the draft New Zealand Curriculum for this learning area.  

These kits are designed to help teachers explore draft curriculum content for Year 9 HPE and see examples of how it could map across a year, units and lessons. These resources are here to support – you can adapt them as you see fit to suit your students’ needs.

• These plans do not include all the details of the curriculum content. Teachers and leaders should continue to consult the New Zealand Curriculum documents when developing their own teaching and learning programmes.    

• Over time, learning kits for more year levels will become available.   

• Additional resources will be released to support multi-year planning and contexts.
