    Activity

     |

    Game

Students can practise multiplication facts through this activity. This means that they must either know most of the facts involved or have some way of visualising them (for example, a 10 x 10 array of dots).

To introduce the game to the class, model it with two students. This will help clarify the winning possibilities. Note that the five counters in line can be placed vertically, horizontally, or diagonally and do not have to be adjacent.

    Game

    Game of multiplication.
