e-asTTle – Mapping results to the new curricula
Attached to this resource are a series of look-up tables that can be used by schools to understand how their students are progressing and achieving in relation to the refreshed learning areas of the New Zealand Curriculum:
English (Years 0-6)
Mathematics and statistics (Years 0-8)
The e-asTTle mapping tables for reading, writing and maths show alignment across the existing e-asTTle sub-levels and scale scores, and the refreshed phases and year level expectations of the New Zealand Curriculum (2024).
Use this guidance to better interpret these tables and inform assessment, instructional decisions, and reporting. These tables serve as an interim measure, assisting teachers to transition smoothly to the updated curriculum while a new curriculum-aligned assessment and aromatawai tool is being delivered.
Note: This is an interim resource designed to support schools in 2025 while more aligned products are being finalised for 2026. |
