Frequently asked questions

There will be continued resources and funding to support the implementation of the revised maths curriculum, until it is fully implemented and the support is no longer required.

Yes, we will confirm 2026 resources with your school in term 3 2025. 

Currently, the Ministry-funded resources being provided to schools are to support the implementation of the revised maths curriculum for Years 0-8, so these resources are not being funded for Years 9 - 13. However schools can contact the suppliers directly if they wish to purchase the same resources.

The ordering process will be done on-line, with each application pre-populated with the school’s roll data for each year group to determine the quantity of resources to be provided.  Schools will select the supplier that best suits their needs for each phase of learning, and place their order. The Ministry will pay the cost of supplying the resources, based on the school’s roll data.    

Yes, schools can use any resources they choose; however, the Ministry-funding will be for the packages offered by the approved suppliers. Any resources that the school wishes to purchase outside of packages from the endorsed suppliers, will need be covered by the school’s own funds.  

No, the Ministry cannot refund schools for resources they have already purchased, however, if your school is already using resources from one of the approved providers, this will be a good opportunity to update what you already have.

All schools will be funded according to their roll numbers. Schools are able to purchase additional resources at their discretion by contacting the suppliers directly, however this will not be funded as part of the structured approaches to maths implementation so will be at the school’s own cost.
