New publications in the Connected series issued to schools

31 March

Two new publications in the Connected series are arriving in schools across Aotearoa to support teachers to being to life Aotearoa New Zealand’s histories.

Digital copies are also online, featuring Google slides of the text, teacher support materials, audio, and additional digital content for one of the articles in each book.

This edition is particularly special for any students with a connection to Niue with one of the publications dedicated to the Realm nation. The second new publication in the series is about Te Rā, a huge sail that was made by tāngata Māori in the 1700s and is on display at Auckland Museum.

To mark the fact this is the first time a publication has been dedicated to Realm nation, extra copies are being sent to Niue’s primary school.

Digital copies can be accessed here: Connected Series (Tāhūrangi)

Alongside the Connected Series, new editions in the He Kōrero Tātai series are being sent to all kura for students learning through te reo Māori. He Kōrero Tātai is not a translation of Connected. It features articles on the same theme written by Māori authors from around the motu.

Digital copies of these publications are here: He Kōrero Tātai (Tāhūrangi)

Further copies of publications in both series can be ordered from Down the Back of the Chair.
